Questions about rekey
What is the difference between rekeying and replacing a lock?
Rekeying keeps your current lock and changes which key opens it. Replacing swaps the whole lock for new hardware. Rekeying is usually faster and less expensive when your locks are in good shape.
Can you make all my doors use the same key?
Yes, as long as the locks are compatible. We can rekey them to a single key so you no longer juggle several.
I just moved in. Should I rekey?
We recommend it. You have no way of knowing how many copies of the old keys exist, so rekeying gives you a clean start for a modest cost.
